I exist with a living breathing monster
within
every cell and fibre of my being
within
every thought and action and word
within
all the mazes of the soul and spirit
within
like a giant squid with its tentacles
within
and its reach over eighteen metres
within
means I can't escape since it lives
within
constantly dragging me below the waters
within
and I am often so tired from fighting it
within
that I question the reason for existing
in this tandem of depression and elation
